Cedar Lee Theatre Celebrates It's 90th Anniversay

Cleveland Cinemas&rsquo Cedar Lee Theatre is the home for the finest motion pictures from around the world and a true landmark in Northeast Ohio.  First opening its doors on Christmas Day, 1925, the Cedar Lee Theatre is turning 90 this year.

To commemorate this milestone, Cleveland Cinemas is starting its celebration on November 30th with a $19.25 movie and concessions special that runs through December 17th and will also host a special screening of the 1925 original THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA on Wednesday, December 16th  at 7:00 PM.

&ldquoIt is remarkable that this theatre is as popular today with our six screens, as it was 90 years ago when there was just one,&rdquo says Jon Forman, President of Cleveland Cinemas.  &ldquoWe are grateful for the support we&rsquove enjoyed from the movie lovers throughout Northeast Ohio.&rdquo

In honor of the year the Cedar Lee Theatre opened, a $19.25 ticket and concession special will be available Monday &ndash Thursday from November 30th through December 17th. For just $19.25 customers will receive 2 admission tickets to any film that is currently showing, 1 large popcorn and 2 medium drinks. That&rsquos a savings of up to $17.00 off the regular prices. (Note: this offer is not valid for special events or screenings. No substitutions.)

90th Anniversary pricing will be in effect at the Cedar Lee Theatre on Wednesday, December 16th for THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.  Tickets, fountain drinks and popcorn will be just 90¢ for this anniversary screening.  Happy Hour pricing on beer and wine will also be available from 4 PM &ndash 8 PM when they will be discounted by $1.

Before the screening of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA a short film featuring Cedar Lee Theatre patrons sharing some of their favorite memories from their time at this historic landmark cinema will be shown. Patrons are invited to stop by to film a brief segment on December 2nd from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cedar Lee Theatre. On this date, a crew will be stationed in the lobby conducting the interviews. We hope to hear some great stories about first dates at the theatre that lead to weddings, favorite movie memories from over the years or anything else that has made the Cedar Lee Theatre something special in your life.

Tickets for THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA are available at the Cedar Lee Theatre box office and online at www.clevelandcinemas.com.
