As more and more movie theatres are selling beer and other alcoholic drinks at the concession stand, the Cedar Lee Theatre wants to take a day to remind Clevelanders who was first. The Cedar Lee Theatre has been selling beer and wine at its concession stand for decades first starting in June of 1989. The Cedar Lee Theatre was first in Ohio, and to the best of our research, the country, to offer adult beverages to movie patrons.
The Cedar Lee Theatre will be hosting a $1 Beer Day on Friday, April 29th with 12oz Coors Lites being priced at just $1 each. The theatre's standard selection of beers, wines and featured cocktails will also be available at regular prices.
The Capitol Theatre is partnering with some of our restaurant friends from the neighborhood as we present a new Happy Hour Classic Film Series.
Each month the Capitol Theatre will present a classic film on the big screen in its historic main auditorium. Before the film enjoy a Happy Hour cocktail party starting at 6:00 PM. Your admission to the film includes a complimentary mini-cocktail or soft drink, light appetizers and live music in the lobby. After the reception enjoy the film starting at 7:00 PM. Happy Hour drink specials with $1 off beer, wine and cocktails are available until 8:00 PM.
Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 day of show. Cocktail party begins at 6:00 PM. Film starts at 7:00 PM.
